Floatation Therapy can help with a myriad of 'happenings' throughout your everyday life when you give it a chance. It's amazing what resources are available to your mind & body when you are not in a constant state of "fight or flight". TAKE A BREAK. ☝️ For just one hour put it ALL down. 🙉 Shut out all the noise, light & chatter. 💧 Float weightlessly on top 1200 lbs of Epsom Salt, dissolved into 10" of perfectly warmed water. See what happens... 🤗
It's even better than you have imagined! 💧
The average adult has a resting breathing rate of 12 to 20 breaths per minute, but researchers studying floating have recorded rates as low as 2 to 3 breaths per minute! This lower respiratory rate actually helps to calm your brain – encouraging it to slow down or stop various background processes – and clear your mind. Give us a call to get in a tank and slow down and clear your mind. 281.486.1864 #infinityfloatcenter #floatbeforeyouvote #relax #calmdown
Floating Pro-Tip: Use your mantra, calm your mind. 🧘‍♀️ If you realize that your mind won’t quiet down while floating – consider using a breathing mantra. A mantra draws your mind’s attention while your body relaxes, and controlling your breathing rate is one of the easiest ways to become more aware of your internal state. You can even use gibberish as a mantra if you can’t think of anything in particular – and in a float tank you don’t have to worry about sounding silly, since there’s no one around to hear you anyway. 😉💧
We are distracted by our environment – especially our virtual environment – and jump from stimulus to stimulus, often barely registering what we’re doing along the way. We are up against a barrage of flashes, buzzes, and pings which are literally designed to steal our attention away and fragment it throughout the day. Our attention is a resource, it’s something we only have so much of to give. And the modern world is exhausting it. Maintaining control of your attention has become a challenge – but it’s one that we can rise to. Meditative activities like floating help you train your attention and make it easier to shut off external stimuli, and replenish your attention reserves. 💧

1️⃣🤔The first time is quite unique as you adjust to this new, floaty environment. 2️⃣😌The 2nd session: Since you now know what to expect, you are able to slow you mind down a little bit more & allow your body to relax even more. 3️⃣🤗By the 3rd session: You're practically a pro! Your mind & body have likely begun to *crave* the peace & quiet that comes with taking a break from your 'everyday' & doing... nothing. 💧 #Infinityfloatcenter #meditate #metime #whywefloat #relax

Along with other disinfectants, at IFC we are using UVC lamps to help us disinfect throughout our float center, as well as inside our float tanks, multiple times a day. But, how effective are they, you ask??🤔 Below is a statement taken from fda.gov: Q: Can UVC lamps inactivate the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus? A: UVC radiation is a known disinfectant for air, water, and nonporous surfaces. UVC radiation has effectively been used for decades to reduce the spread of bacteria, such as tuberculosis. For this reason, UVC lamps are often called "germicidal" lamps. UVC radiation has been shown to destroy the outer protein coating of the SARS-Coronavirus, which is a different virus from the current SARS-CoV-2 virus. The destruction ultimately leads to inactivation of the virus. (see Far-UVC light (222 nm) efficiently and safely inactivates airborne human coronavirusesExternal Link Disclaimer). UVC radiation may also be effective in inactivating the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which is the virus that causes the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Are you a hot tea drinker? Or do you prefer coffee or soft drinks? Hot tea, in addition to being healthier, is also a great way to slow down and be present. As you drop in the tea bag or infuser, you have to practice patience as it steeps. It's one of those quiet moments during the day that can help us stay grounded. #Mindfulness
