•How does the laser tattoo removal process work? The above photo shows what tattoos look like after immediately following a laser tattoo removal treatment. What you see is the “frost” effect, which will last for 10 minutes or so following the procedure. Then, it can take 5-7 days for the outer appearance of the tattoo to heal.
•Laser tattoo removal depends on the body to break down the ink that gets broken up with the laser. It takes multiple treatments to fully remove a tattoo, with each treatment being spaced about 8-12 weeks apart. This gives the body adequate time to “flush out” the ink that’s been broken down by the laser. It is also common for the tattoo to appear darker after it’s been treated. Because the laser brings the ink to the surface more.
