💙 Sometimes, in the midst of the chaos, we are reminded why we do what we do. Yesterday afternoon, this sweet, spry, young, 93 year old, Army Veteran left his residence and wound up not making it back home to Cobb County. Thanks to a Flock alert, Cpl. Chad Krish was able to locate him, today, in Carrollton. We were able to happily reunite him with his family.
As most of you heard over the weekend, Chamblee PD was also able to thankfully recover the abducted 1-year old, here, in Carroll County. Inv. Brandon Sheffield was glad to be able to assist in the investigation/recovery. Attached is Chamblee PD's press release.
In both of these cases, FLOCK was in important investigative tool that aided in the search and recovery of these individuals. We are grateful for agencies who work together to save lives, we are grateful for City of Carrollton for investing in FLOCK, and we are grateful for happy endings.
For learn more about FLOCK cameras (license plate readers), visit flocksafety.com. We would love for neighborhoods and business owners to also invest in these amazing tools.

🚔 🚨 🚔 CITY PROTESTS UPDATE: We are pleased to report that there have been ZERO arrests and no incidents related to the protests/demonstrations within the last two days.
Again, we are grateful for and thank the organizations who communicated with us about their wants and needs. They requested the use of the Amp downtown and City Hall was happy to grant their request. Carrollton Police officers enjoyed marching and talking (and dancing) with protest participants this afternoon. Chief Richards and Deputy Chief Dobbs enjoyed meeting participants at the Amp and giving their support.
We would like to thank DJ Bluue (Martrez Newell) who drove from Atlanta earlier today, when an officer reached out, to come play music and help with sound for the protestors. He came right away and graciously gave his services.
We would like to thank Wal-Mart of Carrollton for providing water for everyone.
We would like to thank all of our committed and dedicated officers on the ground and behind the scenes ensuring everyone’s safety. 💙💙💙
We would like to also thank the protest participants for leaving the Amp as clean as they found it. That is rare after any event and it didn’t go unnoticed.
We would like to extend a special thank you to our C.O.P.S. (Community Oriented Police Services) Unit for taking the lead in engaging in constant communication with leaders of this protest and planning a smooth, pleasant event....and being beside the participants literally every step of the way.
Carrollton- we are so proud of you! This is how you do it. You set the example for others to follow. Remember, our doors are always open for communication and ideas (okay, unless maybe there’s a pandemic 🥴😉). Thank you to all officers, protest participants, and citizens for exercising peace, dignity, respect, common sense, patience, and understanding.
United we stand; divided we fall.... 💙💙💙
