Integrative Obstetrics is a leading OB/GYN practice dedicated to providing exceptional physician and midwifery care to women in the northeastern region of New Jersey. This innovative, collaborative practice has three convenient office locations in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Our modern, integrative approach combines the skills, expertise, and different medicine backgrounds of our perinatologist, physician OB/GYNs, and midwife to create better birth outcomes, high vaginal delivery rates (near 90% most years) and better birth experiences for women and their families. Dr. Yaakov Abdelhak our perinatologist and maternal-fetal medicine specialist (MFM) specializes in high-risk OB, vaginal breech deliveries, VBACs, preterm labor, uterine anomalies, and the management of vaginal twins and triplets deliveries. Working alongside our midwife Kristin Mallon, CNM, MS, RNC-OB, our team is a balance between the best of medicine and the best of midwifery. Kristin specializes in guided prenatal care, holistic childbirth options, a minimally invasive approach, herbal and natural remedies, and childbirth education.
Integrative Obstetrics & Mindful Midwifery has lower cesarean birth rates (near 10%) and is committed to avoiding unnecessary C-sections. As a practice that promotes successful vaginal childbirth whenever safe, Integrative Obstetrics & Mindful Midwifery has an extremely high success rate of vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). More than 85% of patients who had past C-sections were able to deliver vaginally with Dr. Abdelhak, midwife Kristin Mallon and their team of physicians.
