What a night last night! If you are thinking about a generator now is the time! Integrity electric can help you set up any style of generator. There are multiple ways to setup something for your house. Here are the 2 most common.
Interlock kit: a way to manually set up your panel to transfer power from utility to a portable backup generator of your choice.
Pros: price is extremely reasonable, quick installation.
Cons: You can not run your whole house at the same time off a portable generator, you must manually put your generator outside and plug it in once power is out.
Free standing: a way to automatically backfeed tour panel. Once power is out your freestanding generator will kick on and feed your house.
Pros: you can run your entire house, it’s automatic so no hassle of turning anything on!
Cons: price is a lot more expensive in comparison to the interlock kit, requires some pre planning on how your generator will operate via natural gas or propane.
