"I got the COVID vaccine for my patients on 4N and for my grandmother. My grandmother passed this year and due to COVID we were unable to fulfill all of her final wishes.
As a Social Worker in the hospital, I also have to be the one that tells families they cannot be with their loved ones or see their loved ones in their final days.
COVID has had so many negative repercussions and if by getting this vaccine we are one step closer to eradicating this virus once and for all, you better believe I’ll get the vaccine."

"We all have our different reasons for getting the Covid vaccine. Whether it be to protect our patients or families our colleagues, or ourselves they’re all important but one of the main reasons I got my vaccine, was because of the wonderful example I had in my mother.
My mother had Polio when she was younger and was left slightly disabled all her life. So when the Salk Polio vaccine came around, in the 50s, my mother was one of the first to pull my two older sisters up to the community health center to get their vaccine for Polio. This was probably before all the type of testing we do today. But, she had faith so I had to have faith.
We've won the one battles of Polio and Smallpox and we'll keep battling them all!! Thanks mom!!!"

Laura N. "Could not wait to get the vaccine for many reasons, but mostly so I do not pass it on to others that cannot fight off the infection. I have a son at high risk with type 1 DM and want to keep him and others safe-including our patients.
