Celebrating Val Ireland, LSCSW!
Val is a social worker with our hospice team. She is known to often go above and beyond for her patients and their loved ones. She also cares for her hospice team mates by cooking special treats for them.
Born in Milwaukee, WI eons ago and still speaking with an accent, Val has been a LSCSW since 1991. She has worked as an outpatient clinical psychotherapist and medical social worker in a variety of settings including over 10 years of hospice experience. In 2014 and 2015 she traveled to England and took training with Felicity Warner (Soul Midwives School).
An avid hiker, biker, kayaker, photographer and novice poet and mandolin player. She aspires one day (but not too soon) to be eulogized as a renaissance woman.
March is Social work month. We want to extend our gratitude to the social workers in our community! Your contributions have indeed been essential during this past year!
