INTERRUPTION OF A COMMUNICATION DEVICE
If you attempt to take away someone's phone while they're trying to make a phone call, especially if it's to emergency services, it is actually a crime to do so.
Swatting someones phone away, damaging someones phone, or trying to take it out of their hands is considered Interruption of a Communication Device. We have seen many clients be charged with this crime when there is allegations of domestic violence due to the heated nature of these confrontations compounded by the desire to not to get authorities involved.
Interruption of a communication device is generally charged as a class b misdemeanor.

If you believe that there is a warrant out for your arrest, you should contact an attorney immediately. An attorney will be able to look up the warrant, tell you what it's for and if it's something you might be able to take care of yourself or if you should hire an attorney.
If a warrant is for something minor, an officer generally won't arrest you or take you to jail . If the warrant is for something bigger with a larger bail amount, an officer could arrest you and take you to jail on the spot. Either way, you should seek legal counsel in order to get a warrant taken care of immediately so as not to affect other aspects of your life.
