Today, the Macy's Holiday Tree was delivered and crews from Interstate Events began the long process of placing it on the roof of the downtown landmark. The process of adding the lights will take several weeks and a date for the annual tree lighting will be announced shortly.

The B.A.A. has announced that if road races are allowed to take place as part of the MA reopening plan, the 125th Boston Marathon will be held on Monday, October 11. A virtual race option will also be offered in celebration of the 125th Boston Marathon.
Details including field size for the in-person race, registration dates, safety measures and protocols, and participant requirements that will be in place will be forthcoming.
