DESIGNATION AS CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPLIER
As the Nation comes together to slow the spread of COVID-19, on March 16th, 2020 the President issued updated Coronavirus Guidance for America. This guidance states that:
“If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, such as healthcare services and pharmaceutical and food supply, you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule.”
Several state and local governments have imposed "shelter in place" rules where Interstate Steel Sales (ISS) operates. As of now, these rules have not applied to ISS as our company operates in what the Department of Homeland Security considers "critical infrastructure". ISS will continue to monitor the situation and will adapt as needed to the ever-changing business environment.
