Intown Piano is conveniently located near The Atlanta Beltline and I-75/85. The performance-based teaching studio specializes in personalized piano lessons for all ages, including Suzuki style lessons for children under 5 years old, and private lessons, performing, composition and music theory for age 6 and up incorporating the Halamicek Multi-Key Teaching Method. Adults are highly encouraged to sign up for private and group lessons also. All students, beginners and advanced, children and adults are welcome.
Live Musician Entertainment is also available for special events. We provide all instruments, including digital piano if a piano is not available at the venue. We are fully equipped to provide a wide variety of musical styles, according to the client's wishes. Ruthanna currently plays with the Georgia Philharmonic, and recent concerts include the new Porsche venue with Kimberly Locke, and an audience of 3,000+ at DragonCon.
Are you a homeschool family? The school has the flexibility to offer piano lessons both in the student’s home as well as in the studio on a conservatory grand piano. We are central to multiple Atlanta communities, including The Old Fourth Ward, The Virginia Highlands, Midtown, Morningside, Inman Park, Candler Park, Little Five Points, Cabbagetown, Reynoldstown, Oakhurst, Grant Park, Druid Hills, Avondale Estates and Decatur.
From the Director: "Long term studies have proven that music fosters other important subjects such as math and spatial reasoning. Therefore, piano students automatically enjoy a learning advantage across the board. We want our students to have a love of the traditional piano sound and repertoire, and an ability to play with sensitivity, beauty and skill. As well, this is the 21st century, and students need both the enjoyment of actively selecting modern music they personally enjoy and the fun and challenge of studying a variety of styles."
