It was a WOW type of day for a newsphotog, me. It was even more WOW because everyone was safe.
Just after 9am I heard on the scanner a person stuck in the mud in Saugus. I did not get the address right away but I was on Route One in Saugus when it came it. I called our assignment desk, Sean Cahill was able to come up with the address right away.
These are freeze frames from my video. The woman was very cool through the whole process. She told me she had her phone with her and called 911 to call for help. She had been on a hike and misjudged the mud I guess.
Great job Saugus FD and PD.
