While we’re learning to navigate very different times, we naturally experience heightened anxiety and stress. Getting in touch with your senses may help to manage some of that, and promote positive vibes.
Fear is a natural emotion. Avoiding the thing that we’re afraid of only keeps us bound to that fear.
Sit with it. Breathe. Do it afraid.
The definition of injustice is the absence of justice or the violation of the rights of others.
When people experience injustice over and over again, they also experience a range of emotions that naturally build over time. Everyone is impacted by injustice in their own way. Honor your truth, your emotions, your drive for change, and your self-care in the process.
People who are experiencing extreme levels of grief, can feel pressure to "get over it" quickly and move on with life. When they are unable to do so according to other people’s standards, they may feel weak or angry, and not able to be true to their feelings.
Stigma often leads people to avoid their feelings, which can lead to compounded mental health issues.
Honor your feelings. They belong to you, and they are valid.
Your healthier self is waiting for you (and don't you allow anyone to define what healthy means for you)! One small change at a time.
Respect your process.
