Kids become a better version of themselves when they have a space to be who they are, surrounded by passionate people who guide them to what they are capable of.
We are excited to join the next generation of First Tee by together #BuildingGameChangers
Tee sheet ready, scorecards printed, pace of play grid prepped, been awhile since the last tournament I directed so I’m double checking everything. Chance favors the prepared mind.
I feel blessed having the opportunity to give kids golf in a way I never had it when I was young. Between the PGA Junior League and US Kids Golf we possess the opportunity to mold character and create relationships that will last a lifetime. Today I felt honored standing in front of the various Island Golf Associations (Oahu, Maui, Big Island, & Kauai), PGA Aloha Section, and HSJGA to deliver this video presentation at the 2017 Hawaii Junior Golf Summit. I dedicate this video to all the parents and participants who have supported US Kids Golf here in Hawaii. We're looking to expand and I believe were poised to grow the number of kids representing the Hawaii State at Worlds in the upcoming years. I woke up this morning to some humbling news. Many of you know I work tirelessly seven days a week to help grow the game through our youth. It’s been my passion for the past 12 years. Whether it’s teaching after school golf enrichment programs in over 25 schools (which are now temporarily on hold) to developing a full on teaching academy which includes having US Kids Golf and PGA Junior League developmental series. Stay tuned as I’m looking to add more.
I want to dedicate this award to my loving wife who has supported and tolerated my craziness to being on the course and at the range every day doing something to positively help mold our youth.
Thank you US Kids Golf for allowing me to be a part of something great. It’s an honor to accept this award and I promise to uphold the integrity of this stewardship.
