Latest project: We repurposed an antique English twin bed. After a lengthy search for side rails was unsuccessful, we decided to repurpose into a custom built bench instead. We finished with a custom, in-house blended casein paint for a unique finish custom one of a kind result and added some beaded appliqués on the side panels to match the beaded trim on the headboard and footboard. We’re loving paint and plaster on burlap. We’ve repurposed burlap product packaging into cute treat bags/gift bags...we printed on Tissue paper vintage images then decoupaged over a painted backdrop over the burlap. Added some plaster details and some stenciling with mesh stencils and chalk paste.

Computer desk and chair makeover complete! WooHoo! ❤️❤️
Midnight Dreams from @amyhowardhome is the most gorgeous classic, rich navy blue. we love how it transformed this mass-market, mass-manufactured dated computer desk into a more refined, customized, one-of-a-kind piece.
Lots of hours with the music cranked up with our detail brushes laying down size and gold leaf. We were going to go the quicker, less pain-staking way with some gilding wax, but felt this piece was the perfect piece to practice patience and detail with leaf.
We also wanted to add some more character and “history/aging” by giving it some layers and texture and dimension, so we also did a tone on tone cracked patina ( also from Amy Howard) on the drawer fronts and on the chair. Finished with a black wax.
