Funeral Home Q&A: When should I arrive to the funeral service? You should try to arrive at least 5 minutes before the service begins in order to find a seat and get settled. If you are late, but the processionals haven’t begun make a quiet entrance and find a seat in the back near an aisle. If the processionals have started it is usually best to wait outside or try to find a funeral director to ask directions on seating.
