We are back! We are pleased to be once again servicing your outpatient surgical needs!
Things are looking a little different here at our center, we are following the CDC guidelines for keeping everyone as safe as possible. Please be patient as we work towards all the new protocols that allow us to continue to serve you!
Wear masks when coming into the center. There will be a general health screening location that will include temperature checks before you will be allowed to enter surgery center. No visitors will be able to accompany you in (extenuating circumstances will be determined at screen). We are performing normal sanitation procedures as well as frequent sanitization of high touch areas. Our normal cheery smiles that greet you will be covered with masks as well, please know we are smiling under those masks as we are happy to be back doing what we love to do!
Proper handwashing is very important in the spread of COVID-19. Hand sanitizer, soaps back up, follows the same 20 second rule for proper usage.Be sure to cover all areas of your hands, fingers, and wrists. When washing with soap use a paper towel or your elbows to turn off faucet, if the Happy Birthday song doesn't thrill you for that 20 second count try these!
How does COVID-10 affect me and my scheduled procedure? With the escalating spread of the virus we all must do our part to help contain it. The CDC and WHO have first hand information for those wanting to keep up to date on the virus www.cdc.gov www.who.int. Please know that we at JBSC are strictly adhering to all requirements.
You will be pre-screened via pre-op nurse by phone prior to your procedure. Should the pre-op nurse not be able to reach you personally and you are exhibiting signs of a severe cold, flu like symptoms, have been out of the country or in contact with someone who has, etc. we ask you to please reschedule your procedure.
Keep loved ones accompanying you to a minimum when arriving for your appt. They too are being held to the same strict standard of care as you.
Keep calm! With today's social media and plethora of available news, information and opinions, it is very easy to panic! Washing hands is NOT a new concept, the common practices that have been here for years to stop the spread of colds and flu are still the same!
