Nurse practitioner Jaimee Michelle Kamp has always had a personal motivation to work in healthcare. Nothing is more rewarding than being able to improve and impact patient care and patient outcomes.
She enjoys dermatology because she too is a dermatology patient. Dealing with a skin disorder can be difficult whether you are a teen or elderly. Helping someone feel better about their skin or appearance helps to build self esteem, and everyone can benefit from improved self esteem and confidence.
One personal philosophy that guides both her personal life and her work is that failure brings change and growth. She fully believes that small setbacks can end up setting you up for bigger and better things.
Having begun her nursing career at Elkhart General Hospital in 1998 and having spent time as an Emergency Department nurse practitioner, Jaimee is well accustomed to placing people at the center, and living out the Beacon values of respect, compassion, integrity, and trustworthiness.
