Dr. James Grace is the Austin – Southwest Clinic Director.
James earned both a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Texas State University—San Marcos. He earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. He completed a residency and is board certified in orthopaedic physical therapy (OCS). Additionally, James is Manual Physical Therapy Certified (MPTC) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Dr. Grace serves as clinic director for the TexPTS’ Austin – Northeast location and now serves as a mentor for orthopaedic residency students through Evidence In Motion.
James’ favorite clinical topics include all types of orthopaedic injuries, pains, and post-surgical care. He is also passionate about and experienced in treating chronic pain, headaches, and dizziness and vertigo disorders. His favorite part of being a physical therapist, however, isn’t treating conditions and body regions—it’s treating and developing relationships with people of all walks of life. A former U.S. Army Infantryman, James is also passionate about caring for service-members, veterans, and their families.
He enjoys exercise, sports, outdoor activities in the beautiful hill country, and spending time with his friends, family, and especially his wife, Morgan.
