The PA Department of Revenue has had a mammoth backlog in correspondence to taxpayers going back to March 2020 (pandemic delays in access, personnel and technology). Taxpayers who filed with over-payments, claimed credits or other carry-over matters may have a hold on the finalization of their returns without the taxpayers' knowledge of a problem. There is an e-services portal on the Department of Revenue's website to verify any uncertainties. Let me know if we can help ease your concerns.
