Great news from Root Nashville as we work towards replacing trees lost from the tornado and derecho.
99 new trees are coming to Maplecrest this weekend, thanks to Neighborhood Planting Captain Marie Anderson. They will be planting this weekend thanks to Hands On Nashville and a corporate group from HCA Healthcare.
There will also be a planting day on Friday, October 30 in Donelson Hills and Lincoya Hills, thanks to Neighborhood Planting Captains Don Armistead and Jenny White respectively, where another 103 trees will be planted.
I’m very thankful for Marie, Jenny and Don and their efforts on behalf of their neighborhoods to help with this recovery effort. Our tree canopy is one aspect we all love about our neighborhoods and this will help ensure their continued beauty for the next generation.
Big thanks as well to Root Nashville, Hands On Nashville and HCA.
