Sunday Snuggles (and work!) with our newest foster BEAR! He is a playful and curious 3 year old Lhasa Apso/Shihtzu mix. He seeks out affection and attention from his owners. He IS a guard dog, as that is the “work” Lhasa Apso’s are breed to do.

Unfortunately, his elderly owner was no longer able to care for him. Bear needs some decompression and love after losing his owner and spending some time in a shelter.
*Bear is not used to children so household members need to be 15+
*Will happily co-exist with other dogs, but would be happiest as an only dog
*Walks well on leash and follows commands
*House broken
*Experienced dog owner is a MUST
*BEAR is fast and an excellent climber so a FENCED yard is a REQUIRED
*He is neutered, chipped and all shots are up to date.
*Applicants must live within a 20 mile radius of Yardley, PA.

Lots of people often have trouble visualizing what their overweight animals should look like at a pet weight. Veterinarians will give various descriptions to owners, such as how there should be a tuck in the waist visible from both the top down and from the side profile for many breeds. Here are some outlined photos of overweight dogs to show what a rough acceptable weight would look like on them. Every breed is unique and will have different attributes for their build and body style depending on their lineage.

Our Holiday hour will be-OPEN Monday November 23 ( we still have an appointment left for this day), Tues & Wednesday. We will be closed Thursday and Friday 26th and 27th and will reopen on the 28th. We have some availability on the Saturday 28th. Our December hours are-we have normal hours throughout the December and will be OPEN Monday December 21, Tuesday December 22, and Wednesday December 23. We will reopen again after Christmas on Monday, December 28.
