Jason Richards, MD, is a neurologist practicingwith NewYork-Presbyterian Medical GroupBrooklyn. He has extensive training in thediagnosis and treatment of a wide range ofneurological diseases with a particularinterest in treating people with epilepsy.Dr. Richards is board certified in neurologyand epilepsy. He is a member of the AmericanAcademy of Neurology and the AmericanEpilepsy Society. He has a publishedpeer-reviewed research article in the journal,Neuromuscular Disorders, and has presentedhis work at several national conferences.Dr. Richards first developed an interest inneurological diseases and their effect on thebrain as a student at Tufts University Schoolof Medicine. He completed his neurologyresidency at the University of North Carolina atChapel Hill, where he served as chief resident.As a resident, he received the NeurologyResident Teaching Award and the Peter LarsJacobson Award for excellence in patientcare. Dr. Richards then completed a clinicalneurophysiology fellowship at Duke UniversityMedical Center, where he concentrated onEEG interpretation and management ofmedically refractory epilepsy.
