Jason H. Kim, MD, is not your average ear, nose, and throat specialist. As a diplomat and dual board-certified physician in otolaryngology, and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Kim not only specializes in all conditions of the ears, nose, and throat, at his practice in Fullerton, California, but also in head and neck tumors, thyroid conditions, and facial plastic surgery.
Dr. Kim also has a special interest in robotic surgery and minimally invasive endocrine surgery. In fact, he was one of the pioneers in robotic surgery on the West Coast.
Before becoming a leader in the fields of otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery, Dr. Kim earned his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1994. Next, his educational pursuits took him to the East Coast where he earned his doctor of medicine degree from the prestigious New York University School of Medicine in 1999.
Back in California, Dr. Kim completed his residency in the Department of Otolaryngology in head and neck surgery, at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. Then, he went up the coast to Portland, Oregon, to complete his fellowship training in head and neck microvascular surgery at the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
In addition to working in private practice, Dr. Kim was also an Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, at the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine, from 2006-2011. Over the years, Dr. Kim has published numerous articles in medical journals, written textbook chapters, and given presentations across the United States and in Korea.
When Dr. Kim isn’t providing his patients with expert care in otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery, he continues to research and write about diseases and conditions of the head and neck.
