Born in Hawaii and raised in Los Angeles, I am a lifetime Bruin, completing my undergraduate, medical school, public health school and residency programs at UCLA. I follow a practice of appropriate screening, but a less-is-more approach to treatment, especially initial lifestyle modifications before medications in chronic disease management. I also strongly believe in public health and population health, having previously worked for the Office of the Surgeon General, the Discovery Health Channel, as well as other public and private health policy organizations. I have experience in chronic health disease management, sports medicine, and transgender medicine.
