JC Toland Painting finished a commercial painting project of a brand new student housing apartment complex in Lawrence, KS. The complex is steps away from the Kansas University campus. Our team was responsible for painting the interior, and exterior of the building, as well as decorating with Vinyl Wall-coverings in their common space. We're proud to put the JC Toland stamp of approval on this job and we know it will catch KU students' eyes.

Journeyman, Reynaldo “Tony” Rivera has been part of JC Toland for over 4 years. Outside of his work, where he notes he enjoys “everything,” he likes to spend time with his grandchildren. He loves Chicago and enjoys following his favorite team, “Da Bears,” every fall and throughout the year. When it comes to vacation and relaxation, Puerto Rico is his destination of choice.
Tony has earned Employee of the Month recognition for exhibiting exceptional ability to manage and complete multiple jobs on time within target goal hours objectives, going above and beyond typical expectations daily, and in assisting and guiding other team members in their work.

Meet JC Toland’s October Employee of the Month, Foreman Dale Aldridge.
Dale is a foreman/painter and a favorite among our residential customers. When not working, you can probably find Dale on a lake fishing, which is where he will be spending his well-deserved PTO day he earned as Employee of the Month. His favorite fishing spot is up north on Lake of the Woods.

Meet JC Toland’s November Employee of the Month, Foreman Hogan.
Tim is a foreman and always has a smile on his face at a project site. Tim has a track record of exceeding expectations, like the demo job he recently finished in two months which was originally scheduled as a six month job. His favorite part of the job is seeing the finished product. Away from JC Toland, Tim enjoys walking his dogs and yard work around the house. He is looking forward to using his extra PTO day over the holidays to spend more time with his family.

Happy New Year!! We’ve had the good fortune of painting a number of interiors in the Des Moines area this winter—below are some before & after photos of one of our most recent projects here in town. Throughout the home we painted walls, ceilings, trim and doors. All of the doors we painted were brought back to our in-house Spray Booth for prepping and finishing. Our construction guys were able to help here as well, completing necessary existing drywall repairs and ceiling patches around new light fixtures before we painted. JC Toland Painting's team took on a large part of the historic renovation of the Midland Building in downtown Des Moines, now known as the Surety Hotel.
JC Toland's construction services took care of demo, historic plaster repair, metal stud framing, and drywall for the 106-year-old building.
Painting, exterior window lead removal, repainting, and vinyl wall covering was also a part of the project spearheaded by JC Toland's commercial painting side.
Our industrial painting side removed lead paint and restored the historic showcase stair in the center of the building. We used a blasting rig to remove many layers of existing paint to reveal the historic staircase's marble treads in all their beauty.
We take great pride in assisting the renovation of buildings so rich in history, like the Surety Hotel!
