The difference between hearing and listening
Communication skills are extremely important and can help maintain relationships. Let’s practice some self-reflection and look at your last disagreement or argument. Was there a communication break down? Did you feel heard or did you hear your partner? Let’s try to learn and grow so we can be more successful communicators. Effective communication can help you become successful in your personal life and professional life.

As we start this new week and reflect on our last, we acknowledge the fact that many of us are grappling with loss and sadness. This year has been difficult and tragic for a lot of people. COVID has impacted many of us on different levels. Life has unfolded in many ways that we did not mentally, financially or emotionally prepare for. As a result, the holiday season has provided us with mixed feelings about celebrating. We would like to acknowledge your pain and provide these words. There are no rules about how to celebrate, you don’t need to celebrate, you can give yourself permission to relax and breathe, the idea of perfection is a myth that keeps you miserable, the holiday season can be stress free if you want it to be, you can change and modernize traditions, you can practice being kind and gentle towards yourself, it is not a race or a competition, it’s ok to experience all your emotions, you don’t “need” to do anything!! Just BE.
We would like to wish all of you a sense of peace throughout the week.
