Jeff M. Arthur, MD, is an interventional pain specialist serving Kingwood, Humble, The Woodlands, Conroe, and the surrounding areas. Through the use of precise diagnostic testing and procedures, he is able to target and treat pain at its source, minimizing the need for oral pain medications. He specializes in the treatment of spine and nerve related pain as well as cancer related pain through a variety of treatments such as radiographically guided epidural steroid injections, spinal cord stimulation, and kyphoplasty for vertebral compression fractures. He is also one of the few providers in the Houston area offering Superion Interspinal Spacer for the treatment of spinal stenosis.
Dr. Arthur received his medical training at Texas Tech University School of Medicine in Lubbock, TX and Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, TX, including a fellowship in interventional pain medicine. He is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Upon completing his training, Dr. Arthur was on facility as an assistant professor at Texas Tech University Medical School, where he served as director of the cancer pain service. Dr. Arthur began his private practice in the Humble/Kingwood area in 1996 and is currently on staff at the following hospitals: Memorial Herman Surgical Hospital in Kingwood, Kingwood Hospital, Memorial Herman Hospital in The Woodlands, Memorial Herman Surgery Center in Conroe, and Texas Orthopedic Hospital in Houston. He also serves as an expert in pain medicine for the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr. Arthur and his family are active members of the Kingwood community. He is a member of First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood and has participated in many of their medical mission trips to serve the impoverished areas surrounding Lima, Peru. He has completed the MS150 a number of times and has served as an EMS rider. Dr. Arthur also spent many years participating in the YMCA Adventure Guide and Princess programs with his two children.
