Happy World Photography Day!
Photography is a passion of many of our clients. For those that have shared various photos throughout the years with us we truly appreciate it! The pictures that are within Jeff’s office and are in this team photo were taken by one of our wonderful clients.
Happy International Self-Care Day!
Day 7: Digital Life
Providing a comprehensive list of personal usernames and passwords, as well
as any personal requests regarding your digital life will allow your loved ones
to take care of this.
Day 6: Document Location
Should you pass away, it’s not only important to have estate planning
documents, but you need to inform your executor or heirs where these are
located.
Day 5: Beneficiary Designations
Some types of assets allow you to name a beneficiary. Assets with beneficiary
designations are typically not subject to probate, as a beneficiary designation
supersedes a will.
Day 4: Trusts
Trusts are complex estate planning vehicles and is leveraged for a number of different purposes. They can be used to determine how a person's money should be managed and distributed while that person is alive, or after their death. A trust can help avoid taxes and probate. It can protect assets from creditors, and it can dictate the terms of an inheritance for beneficiaries.
Day 3: Living Will & Durable Healthcare Power of Attorney
Your medical POA can cover all health care decisions and allows a person you can specify to make those decisions on your behalf if you are incapacitated.
Day 2: Durable Power of Attorney
What is a Power of Attorney?
A POA is a legal power for an organization or person that you specify to act on
your behalf for legal and financial matters
Happy Veteran's Day!
For the past 25 years, our office has proudly participated in the Ameriprise National Day of Service by supporting the Food Bank of Eastern & Central NC and helping provide hunger relief.
As a result of COVID-19, demand on Feeding America® member food banks have increased greatly. Now, more than ever, our communities need our support. That is why our office is conducting a virtual food drive now through November 13th, 2020 to support the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC.
There is no need to make a trip to the grocery store to help feed neighbors who need support. You can make a food donation, just by clicking on the link below.
