🥰 Today was our second dose of the #COVID19 vaccine for most of our residents and staff. But for one staff member in particular, it had an extra special meaning. 👩‍❤️‍👨Meet the Keneally's! Patrick and Andrea moved into their cottage in January of this year. Choosing Jefferson's Ferry was simple for them. They came from a large home in the Setauket area and began to realize that although they loved living there, it was becoming too much to take care of. The location of Jefferson's Ferry was perfect, they were still close to all their favorite places and friends. Patrick and Andrea met in grammar school and have been together since high school! Patrick was in the construction 🚧🦺 industry for many years - he even built a road down a mountain in Iran! Andrea was a nurse 👩‍⚕️ for over 50 years, working with Elementary school kids was her favorite. Andrea is a very talented pastel artist 🎨 and Patrick is into Genealogy. 🍀🌈The spirit of St. Patrick’s Day is alive and well here at Jefferson’s Ferry. Residents and staff (and even pets!) are rocking their green apparel 👕– some even got super festive with it! Each Independent Living resident will be receiving a hand delivered goody bag containing: a bottle of O’Doul’s🍻, Irish soda bread, candies, and a nice little St. Patrick’s Day message. In the Vincent Bove Health Center, the staff created “floats” and passed by residents’ rooms. They also created festive leprechaun wreaths for their doors.
