Jen's childhood was filled with art classes, international travel and exploration of nature. She discovered her love of jewelry making in high school and shortly after began selling her pieces to friends and family.
Jen studied metalsmithing and jewelry making at the Maine College of Art and at Montana State University. After a four year apprenticeship with a local jeweler and metalsmith, Jen struck out on her own and launched Jen Burrall Design?s in 2002. Her work quickly became popular among jewelry enthuiasts in Portland, Maine and beyond. In the Fall of 2007 Jen Burrall Design's opened it's doors to a studio and retail space in the beautiful Munjoy Hill neighborhood on Portland?s East End.
Jen incorpoates her love of travel in her career as a jewelry designer by exhibitng her work at art shows from Maine to California. Not only are these trips dedicated to meeting her loyal customers but they also serve as a constant source of inspiration for her new deisgns.
Jen hand sculpts her designs from recycled metal, freshwater pearls and ethically sourced semiprecious stones. In addition to using recycled metal Jen uses non-toxic processes in her jewelry fabrication for the health of the environment and herself. Her organic textual style is well loved by her customers of all ages.
