Dr. Jenkins is a native of Idaho Falls, Idaho. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. He completed his externship rotations at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee and a private practice in Senatobia, Mississippi. He has served mission trips to national and international locations, including Merida, Mexico, to provide full-scope eye care to the less fortunate. In addition to primary care optometry, his special interests include diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease related to diabetes, macular degeneration, hypertension, and glaucoma. He can also treat ocular allergies, dry eye syndrome, and red eyes. He currently lives in Rock Springs with his wife and three girls and enjoys playing tennis, soccer, volleyball, and racquetball as well as riding dirt bikes, camping, and hunting. Dr. Jenkins is very excited to be in Rock Springs providing eye and vision care to the community.
