Temporary Crowns🦷:
A temporary crown is a tooth-shaped cap that protects a natural tooth or implant until your permanent crown can be made and cemented into place.
Because temporary crowns are more delicate than permanent ones, it’s important to take extra care when flossing or chewing while you have a temporary crown in place.
A temporary crown is used to:
-Protect the natural tooth (or implant site) and gums
- Allow you to smile normally without a gap
- Limit any tooth or gum sensitivity
- Maintain the proper spacing between your teeth
- Help you chew and eat
- Help the dentist assess how the crown will function
.......
Coronas temporales🦷:
- Te ayuda a masticar y comer

Dental implant surgery is usually an outpatient surgery performed in stages, with healing time between procedures. The process of placing a dental implant involves multiple steps, including:
🦷 Damaged tooth removal
🦷 Jawbone preparation (grafting), when needed
🦷 Dental implant placement
🦷 Bone growth and healing
🦷 Abutment placement
🦷 Artificial tooth placement (Implant Crown)
The entire process can take many month from star to finish. Much of that time is devoted to healing and waiting for the growth of new bone in your jaw. Depending on your situation, the specific procedure done or the materials used, certain steps can sometimes be combined.
Happy Friday!😊
HAPPY BOSS’s DAY👏🏼 to the Best @jenniferlopez_dmd!!!
We are more than a team, we are a family🤍
White resin/filling material was placed in order to seal the gumline area. This prevents the hole from getting bigger and prevents cold sensitivity🦷
These “holes” near the gumline are called abfractions and they are caused by clenching and/or brushing your teeth improperly with a hard bristle toothbrush, causing tooth abrasion. It is important to ask your hygienist the proper way to brush your teeth. If you are a clencher, ask you Dentist on ways to prevent this from occuring and how it can be treated👏🏼
...

Swipe 👉🏼 to see what an Implant crown 🦷 👑 looks like! Implant crowns look and feel like a natural tooth. They are a great option to replace a missing tooth (or teeth).
.
.
Impant crowns are screwed into the implant approximately 4 months after an implant has been placed. We wait a few months so the implant heals and integrates with your bone. 💪🏼

It is such an honor to treat this ex- Ranger in the Military. He is one of the sweetest, most humble patients I have ever had. He shares the best stories and always makes the entire office laugh. Ontop of being 90 he drives a monster sized Hummer truck! When I told him to stop joking about the car he said “Of course, What do you expect? I am ex- Military!!” It is always a pleasure having him at our office!
