The Atlantic Hurricane season began on June 1 and extends to November 30. The NOAA is predicting that the 2020 season could be especially active. NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center is forecasting a likely range of 13 to 19 named storms (winds of 39 mph or higher), of which 6 to 10 could become hurricanes (winds of 74 mph or higher), including 3 to 6 major hurricanes (category 3, 4 or 5; with winds of 111 mph or higher). **IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR CUSTOMERS AND EMPLOYEES ABOUT COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS**
The health and safety of you and our employees is of the utmost importance during this trying time. In order to continue providing the service you need and expect and to keep everyone as safe as possible, we will follow the below protocol until further notice:
- Our field personnel have been instructed to avoid face to face interactions with customers and the public when possible. They will check in and out over the phone whenever possible. When face to face interactions are required, they will maintain a safe distance of 6 feet, and will not shake hands.
- Customer signature on our phones at job completion will not be required. Completed work tickets will still be sent from us for your records.
- Staff will be engaging in hand washing or sanitizing before and after each job (and regularly throughout the day) and will wear latex gloves when possible and properly dispose of them afterward.
- To maintain safe distances, we are suspending internal gatherings and meetings to avoid any internal community spread which could then become external spread.
This protocol is out of an abundance of caution to keep everyone safe and only changes the manner of service, not the quality you have come to expect. Jersey Elevator has been part of the community since 1974 and will continue to provide excellent service to you throughout this national time of crisis.
