The holding period cannot and will not be controlled by the bailing agent. It’s important for the person being arrested to be cooperative and patient during the booking process, despite how busy the bookers are and how long the process is taking.
There are basically two types of immigration bail bonds. Delivery bonds enable defendants to be released with the promise that they will appear at all immigration or criminal proceedings. In contrast, voluntary departure bonds are granted when the accused agrees to voluntarily leave the country.

When bail is set, do not panic at the amount. In a surety bond situation, the amount needed is 10 percent of the total bail (this is established by law). If you do not have the 10 percent, a payment plan may be worked out with the bonding agency.
Unfortunately, the judge may have discretion to deny bail or set it so high that the average person can’t afford it. While we can’t do anything when the judge denies bail, we may be able to help when the bail amount is higher than you can afford to pay.
US law states that the accused are innocent until proven guilty. The existence of bail is a large part of this, since it allows people to walk freely and function as if they are innocent members of society until a court date can prove their guilt or innocence.
