Joanna is a collaborative provider who believes that good health care focuses on long-term wellness as much as treating disease. She values careful listening, good communication, and the creation of strong alliances over time. As a family doctor, she is passionate about working with children and adults at all stages of life. When not in the office, Joanna enjoys spending time outdoors and working with animals. She volunteers for Guide Dogs for the Blind, raising and fostering guide dogs. Joanna is fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese, and happy to see patients who are native speakers. She graduated from the University of California San Francisco and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
