I am a fourth generation Floridian, a lifelong resident of Orlando and a REALTOR®.
My Great Grandparents owned a horse ranch that spanned many acres in the Boggy Creek area, south of Orlando International Airport.
My Grandparents owned a logging and milling business which was located in what is now known as Rosemont. They cut and sold lumber, as well as building supplies, to area home builders and enjoyed much success. Two of my three uncles and my father followed their parents into the housing business, one uncle as a home builder and the other as a developer. My father was a master carpenter until he went into the automotive business in 1949. It seems only natural that, with my family's history, I too would eventually enter the real estate business.
Prior to real estate I was in the automotive business and worked for several imported car dealerships, continually improving my skills until I became a certified master technician.
My hobby has always been cars and drag racing so, after a number of years working for others, I opened my own shop specializing in building high performance and racing cars. Through the 1970s and into the 1980s, I campaigned a VW beetle drag racecar in the competitive ranks of the National Hot Rod Association. Success kept me busy and, eventually, I parked my own car in order to focus more on the needs of my customers.
Unfortunately, the fun stopped when I was struck with a health problem that hospitalized me for a period of time and forced me out of business. Once cleared to go back to work, I needed a new profession and the decision to enter the real estate business was made.
I’ve seen many changes in Central Florida’s landscape over the years. What was once a sleepy fuel stop for truckers amidst cattle ranches and citrus groves has become an highly sought after tourist destination, anchored by The City Beautiful.
Licensed in 1996, I have over two decades of experience representing Sellers and Buyers in the Orlando and Central Florida real estate market. My career started at a family owned brokerage that focused only on HUD and VA foreclosure homes. From there I moved to several other brokerages learning more about the business at each one. Once I was introduced to Charles Rutenberg Realty, I knew it was a natural fit. The progressive business attitude, support and focus on customer service allows me to offer my best, all the time.
