Dr. Johanna G. Palmadottir is a board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist with a clinical interest in general gastroenterology, including inflammatory bowel disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, gastroesophageal reflux, constipation, encopresis, functional gastrointestinal disorders, feeding difficulties, food protein intolerance, failure to thrive, and childhood obesity. She received her medical degree from the University of Iceland and completed her pediatric residency and a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at the University of Connecticut and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut. During her fellowship training, she studied loss of muscle mass in inflammatory bowel disease.
