Some before pictures of an old composite deck we removed this week. New, expanded composite deck installation pictures to come. New footings were dug and poured this week!
Finished this front entrance renovation today!
Kind of fun to work at one of my old high school teacher’s house!
Got this new construction project all landscaped this week and ready for sprinklers and sod!
You might remember this “before” photo! Cedar deck and steps were completed today after the patio was completed last week. I just got this nice message from the happy homeowner: “I am home from work and just want to say the steps are amazing! They are far bigger than I imagined and so well done. Kudos to your Dad and the whole team for a nice job. Thanks!”
Project update! Should finish everything except the overhead tomorrow. Overhead to be constructed next week after John finishes my composite deck renovation project he is working on.
An extra helper the last two days with no school has been nice! Bench and pillar complete with caps and pillars installed around the overhead posts. Dust is in and ready to prep and install some pavers tomorrow!!
New patio project underway!
I beat Jeff and the boys up to the lake tonight. I LOVED seeing both boys show up sporting their work shirts! 💗
In progress project this week! We’ll finish tomorrow and then ready for the curb edging and plants!
Some "before" pictures of a project we started on Monday! I've been terrible at remembering to take "in-progress" pictures this week! Tomorrow I will remember!
Rain day today so this project we started on Friday is standing idle. Finished the bench and pillars in the snow/rain yesterday. 🥶

Not quite done cutting the patio today. Some people will appreciate these cuts as the pillar border intersected the perimeter ribbon! 💪🏾🙌🏾
Papa John got this overhead completed and finished the post caps on this composite deck renovation last Friday before the snowy weekend!

Thank you to all the veterans! 💙🇺🇸❤️
Super funny that I have never noticed this clown face rock grown into a tree by the employee parking area at the shop! We got all of the trees mulched in and cleaned up today. It looks so nice and orderly!!
The City of Sioux Falls doesn’t mess around when they send you a letter to prune your boulevard trees to the appropriate height by October 31. We are working in this circle and a city employee was here to inspect the trees this morning. Within about 1.5 hours, they had a tree company here to prune someone’s trees that didn’t comply!
The shop is put to sleep for the winter! 🙏🏾🏁👏🏽🎉
I always say that you can’t judge our estimates and work by price alone! I did not write this dialogue, but am sharing it to support craftsmen and entrepreneurs A customer asked me how much it cost to make a table.... I answered him: $ 1500 He said: So expensive for this job? I asked: How much do you think it would cost you? He answers me: $ 800 maximum... That's a pretty simple job right? !" - For $ 800 I invite you to do it yourself. - But.... I don't know how to. - For $800 I'll teach you how to. So besides saving you $700, you'll get the knowledge for the next time you want - It seemed right to him and he agreed. - But to get started: you need tools: A table saw, a planer, a top, dormants, etc... - But I don't have all these equipment and I can't buy all of these for one job. - Well then for another $250 more I'll rent my stuff to you so you can do it. - Okay, he says. - Okay! Tuesday I'm waiting for you to start doing this work - But I can't on Tuesday I only have time today. - I'm sorry, but I'm only available Tuesday to teach you and lend you my stuff. Other days are busy with other customers. - Okay! That means I'm going to have to sacrifice my Tuesday, give up my tasks. - I forgot. To do your job yourself, you also have to pay for the nonproductive factors. - That is? What is this?" - Bureaucratic, tax, vat, security, insurance, fuel etc. - Oh no!... But to accomplish these tasks, I'm going to spend more money and waste a lot of time! - Do you have them? You can do it to me before?" - Okay! - I'll make you all the material you need. Truck loading is done Monday evening or Tuesday morning you'll have to come by 6 loading the truck. Don't forget to be on time to avoid traffic jams and be on time - At 6??? Nope! Too early for me! I used to getting up later. ... - You know, I've been thinking. Y ' all better get the job done. I'd rather pay you the $1500. If I had to, it wouldn't be perfect and it would cost me a lot more. When you pay for a job, especially handcrafted, you pay not only for the material used, but also: - Knowledge - Experience - Study - Tools - Services - Time to go - punctuality - Accountability - Professionalism - Accuracy - Guaranteed - Patents - Sacrifices - Safety and security - Payment of tax obligations No one can denigrate other people's work by judging prices. Only by knowing all the elements necessary for the production of a certain work can you estimate the actual cost. .

Practice turning people into trees! 🌲🌳🌴
The shop looks festive for Christmas! 🎄🎅🏽🎁

It could be a white Christmas after all! This could come in handy tomorrow! 🎄❄️⛄️🎅🏽
So sad to see this obituary in the paper today. I learned so much from Norm during my college days at SDSU! This sweet man was a wealth of knowledge and practicality and as humble as you could find! Rest In Peace, Norm Evers! This world will miss you. 💙💛🌳🍂🌲🍁🍃🪴
That’s what the off season is for, right?!? 😁

Maybe your dog would enjoy a patio with a bench as much as you would! 🐶
My dog isn’t the only one that enjoys the patio bench! A client posted this photo today! 💗🐶 Jennifer Boschee updated her cover photo. February 25 at 10:21 AM ·
