I specialized in general surgery, but have chosen to focus much of my practice on breast surgery. It is extremely rewarding to help patients and their families when they are dealing with breast cancer, a difficult and sometimes life-threatening diagnosis. The field of breast oncology is rapidly changing with new research coming out regularly that improves care for our patients. I enjoy getting to know my patients and the process of educating and helping them make care decisions that will best fit their life goals and treatment needs. This is particularly important for breast cancer patients who often have a bewildering number of options for treatment. I am also an associate investigator with Cancer Research of the Ozarks, helping patients find breast cancer clinical trials that may be appropriate for them. My goal is to ensure that patients and caregivers have all the information, support and help they need on their healing journey.
