Birthday Celebration! This afternoon the Grand residents enjoyed receiving cupcakes and ice cream to celebrate the September birthdays. What a way to finish off the day!

It was a perfect Assisted living week at Brightside as today we wrapped up the celebrations with our grand finale and third birthday celebration for Brightside at lunch with residents favorite: cheese burgers, pasta salad, baked beans and veggies! Then during the afternoon we had a wonderful drive by family parade. Thank you to the families that were able to join. A special thank you to Steve Birkemeier for playing for Residents and families. Thank you to all the wonderful staff all week that helped during the Week festivities.💕
Day #4: Old Hollywood Day! Residents at Brightside enjoyed a day full of reminiscing Hollywood Celebrities, with Glamour Shots and afternoon lunch we snuck out doors for some fresh air where we talked about our favorite actors and actresses throughout the years. Thank you to our Kitchen staff for a delicious old time favorite meal! And delicious dessert💕
Hey, Hey it's Pajama's all day!!! The Grand residents got to enjoy staying in their Pajama all day. As they had a relaxing afternoon. We all hope some of you got to relax in your pajamas as well this today.

Throughout the month of November, the Court will be celebrating the good and focusing on what we’re truly thankful for. Court residents have been encouraged to hang their gratitude lists on their apartment doors for everyone to see. We hope that you’ll join along with us!

Happy Halloween from the Grand! This afternoon the residents got to participate in a scavenger hunt. All of the residents enjoyed seeing all of the creative costumes, and how they had their own trick-or-treat hunt. A big thank you to all the staff! Everyone have a happy and safe Halloween.
What an fun day filled with lots of laughs as today we hopped on the Booze N' Tatoos train for our residents at Brightside. Residents reminisced about tattoos they have or wanted to get but was nervous to take the plung. They also enjoyed some delicious ODulls and sparkling Cider!

The Court “Thankful Tree” is back again for another year! 2020 has certainly been full of challenges, but it’s important to remember to still count your blessings. We can’t wait for our residents, staff and families to fill up our tree with what they’re thankful for! 🍁🍂

With our Court Dining Room sitting empty due to the Covid 19 pandemic, we were looking for some way to bring it back to life during the holidays. Our Court staff decided to have a Christmas Display Contest and each decorated a table to represent what Christmas means to their family. The residents were able to walk through the display throughout the week and got to vote of their favorite. A big Thank You to Katie, Diana W., Diana M., and Dusty for participating. Resident had fun dancing as some of our staff taught them the Cupid shuffle. And we also had the pleasure of announcing our 2021 king and queen. Our staff worked hard together to make each resident a valentine bucket with cards and candy 🥰 We would also like to take a moment to thank Family Dollar for all the amazing balloons donated that put a Lot of smile on faces. ❤️

Valentine’s Day may have come and gone, but this week Court Residents & Staff decided to continue with the theme of “love” and showcase “What LOVE Means to Me”. We had everything on display from wedding/anniversary photos, to pictures of beloved pets, and even Diana’s wedding gown! Thank you to everyone who participated. ❤️
How wonderful is was for some of our Court residents to gather in the dining room this afternoon for a fun game of “Roll the Dice, Break the Ice”! It’s a great feeling being able to catch up with our friends again ... even if we have to keep 6 feet apart! ❤️
Court residents enjoyed a delicious Oatmeal Making Station this morning!! There were lots of toppings to choose from and everyone had fun creating their own unique concoctions!
Someone say Chili? The Grand residents were able to vote on the best staff chili this afternoon. It was a wonderful way to welcome in the warm weather. Congratulations to Jason for winning first place, and Corrina for winning second place. Big thank you for all the staff that participated in the chili cook off.

The weather these past few days has really felt like Spring! And now, thanks to the lovely and talented Kristin Ganton, it’s starting to look like Spring around our campus as well!! The Court would like to thank Alison for bringing in her pig collection for us to see!!! It was a lot of fun looking at all of the different piggies. Court resident, Annette, even brought down a pig cookie jar that she inherited when she was 12-years-old for the group to see. 🐷

Our Independent Living Manager, Diana, took home 2nd place. And our Court/Villa Life Enrichment Coordinator, Katie, took home 3rd place. Thank you to all of our wonderful Court staff who brought in pots of Chili and to our residents for sampling the Chili and voting! It was great to see everyone today!!

Brightside had a fun St. Patrick's Day celebration this afternoon with delicious Corn Beef and Cabbage for lunch and the we had a wonderful surprise for residents as we had Steve Berkemeier playing wonderful music for us while we all enjoyed Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream!💚🍀
