An incredibly strong storm came through Clifton Park and in less than 15 minutes, strong winds wreaked havoc. Currently MacElroy, Hubbs, Hatlee, Vischer Ferry and many side roads are closed due to wires down in the road. We’ve been working to open roads where we can, safely, and letting National Grid and NYSEG manage their infrastructure. Going to be many busy days ahead cleaning up from this storm.
If you were unable to reach the office late this afternoon and need to file a claim for storm damage, please call 1-800-255-7828 or 1-800-ALLSTATE. Like so many folks, we were without power, phones etc and we hope everyone is OK!

DEC Environmental Conservation Officers are marking National Firewood Awareness Month by holding statewide enforcement details to ensure everyone is following state regulations.
Moving untreated firewood can spread invasive pests and diseases to new areas so it’s important for campers, residents, and visitors to remain diligent. Untreated firewood grown in NY may not be transported more than 50 miles (linear distance) from its source or origin unless heat-treated. In addition, when transporting firewood, certain documents are required.
