Good afternoon all. We are informing everyone that we will be extending our hours to be open from 7am-5pm Monday through Friday for the month of June. Check engine light and fuel smell. Huge hole in top of gas tank ! Dangerous to drive! New tank and fuel pump, problem fixed
Here is a picture of an alternator covered in oil. Vehicle was leaking oil from the valve cover gasket onto the alternator. Eventually it caused the alternator to not function properly which left one of our customers, who is a nurse, stranded. We were able to get it towed and repair the oil leak, replace the alternator and now she is back on the road
Good afternoon everyone. Hope everybody is staying safe during these times. We would like to make an announcement that per Governor Hogan‘s instructions we have limited our staff and will be limiting our hours. We will now be open from 7 AM until 4 PM Monday through Friday. This will continue until things get back to normal which we all hope is sooner than later. Thank you for everyone’s understanding and consideration through all of this

We want to say thank you to Ryan for stepping up and really helping out in these changing times. Not only was he here to help fill a need, but going above and beyond what was originally intended for him. He is now off to the Air Force to serve our country . For that, we truly appreciate you and want to thank you for serving . We wish you safe travels and wish you the best. You are a very bright young man with a big future ahead of you .
We would like to congratulate Josh and Sev on the birth of their third child, Brody Richard Hasan Gray, 8.1 lbs 19 inches long. Bradley and Bella welcome their new baby brother. Everyone is doing well. Once again, congratulations
A quick medical update. As many of you know I was diagnosed with a low grade non Hodgkin lymphoma late last fall. My plan was to work part time between treatment until complete. The past two weeks have changed that plan as the cancer has become much more aggressive and will need a totally new chemotherapy treatment plan. This plan will greatly reduce blood counts and not having a COVID vaccine yet my oncology team has recommended that I stay out of public completely until treatment is complete. I started the new plan this past Friday and will continue for 12 weeks.
As many of us have adapted the past year I am working remotely on a daily basis and available by phone or email. Josh, Andrew, Jim, Tyler and Kyle will continue to provide the top quality service experience in person and I can be reached by calling the shop and pressing extension 2 or at john@jhookauto.com. If I don't pick up I will respond in a timely manner.
I would like to say a special thank you to all who have reached out with positive thoughts and prayers. I will beat this and look forward to seeing you all in the late spring.
