J. Kenneth Burkus graduated with honors from the Yale University School of Medicine and went on to complete his orthopaedic residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital and Newington Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Burkus completed a clinical trauma fellowship with the AO/ASIF group in Switzerland, and a spinal trauma and deformity fellowship at the Minnesota Spine Center in Minneapolis.
He is a board-certified orthopaedist and member of numerous orthopaedic societies.
He has a special interest in both adult and pediatric deformities, including kyphosis and scoliosis. He also has special interest and training in adult degenerative cervical, low back conditions, spinal fractures and spinal cord injuries.
