Dr. John M. Sisto received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery degree from Loyola University and completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Cook County Hospital in Chicago in 1983. Dr. Sisto is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and belongs to a number of professional organizations:

He has devoted his professional career to all aspects of specialty practice with special interests in Dental Implants, Bone grafting, Reconstructive Jaw Surgery (orthognathic), Facial Trauma and Pathology.
Dr. Sisto has been actively involved in the training of oral and maxillofacial surgeons and was Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and program director of the Cook County Hospital Residency Training Program from 1985 to 2010, and started a new program at Cook County in 1990. He was also a Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Illinois and Northwestern University Dental Schools in the departments of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Sisto has Hospital privileges at Resurrection Medical Center.
In addition he is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Norhtwestern University Medical School and certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Dr. Sisto is a published author of articles on various subjects within the specialty and has lectured to his peers at numerous local, state and national educational forums. He has developed many innovative surgical techniques throughout his career.
