Dr. John P. Lyden has been a member of the Hospital for Special Surgery community since 1969 and is an Attending Orthopedic Surgeon at HSS. Additionally, he is a Professor of Clinical Orthopedic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Attending Surgeon at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Lyden serves on the Orthopedic Trauma Service at HSS and the Fracture Service at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. From 1984 to 1996, he served as Chief of the latter.
Dr. Lyden’s research is concentrated primarily in the area of fractures. He has published extensively on this subject, and is a participating investigator for a multi-center hip fracture study supported by a National Institutes of Health multi-center grant.
