Dr. Reitano is a co-founder of HALI and is Board-Certified in Nuclear Cardiology as well as Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Reitano received his undergraduate degree from Fordham University, where he graduated magna cum laude and was Phi Beta Kappa. He was also the recipient of the prestigious Steinbugler Biology Award. He received his medical degree from the New York University (NYU) School of Medicine and completed both his internship and residency in internal medicine at NYU Medical Center – Bellevue Hospital. He was Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at New York Veterans Administration Medical Center before joining a large group in Suffolk County.
Dr. Reitano has practiced cardiology in Suffolk County in private practice since 1986. He has chaired several different groups and committees in a number of Suffolk County hospitals. He also presently serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, Stony Brook University School of Medicine, a position he has held since 1994.
Board-Certified in Nuclear Cardiology, Internal Medicine, and Cardiovascular Disease.
