Dr. John Tapp is a Chattanooga native who attended Tiftonia Christian School and graduated from Lookout Valley High School as valedictorian in 1988. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he received a BA in Chemistry and a BS in Biology. He attended medical school at UT Memphis College of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine residency at UT College of Medicine, Chattanooga Medical Department Unit. Dr. Tapp decided to become a doctor while in college. Because he enjoyed science and helping others, he decided that medicine was the perfect career field to pursue. Dr. Tapp joined Diagnostic Center in August 2003 after finishing his residency
When not at work, Dr. Tapp spends time with his wife, Stacy, and two daughters. A proud dad, Dr. Tapp says that he considers his daughters his greatest accomplishment. Dr. Tapp is grateful for the love and support of his family.
