I grew up in the Beaverton area and as i got older, I went to Clackamas Community College. For 2 years I learned about the mechanics of cars and trucks, developing the skills to take apart mechanical components and reassembling them.
Several years later in 2001 as I've always loved the outdoors, I joined the Forest Service with a position fighting wildfires. I still continue fighting wildfires every summer on a wild-land fire crew.
Along my journey exploring different job opportunities, I also became a Satellite installer. I soon gained valuable experience working with customers and realized the importance of knowing a homeowner's needs. After a few years the communications industry had changed and with it, my decision to try something new.
A local commercial garage door company was hiring and i went in for an interview. I was hired and trained. Repairing a wide range of commercial garage doors, often we worked late on repairs that sometimes looked nearly impossible. Often we didn't go home until the repairs were complete. I was already used to the long hours and I eventually forged away on a new career path into the garage door repair industry working on every kind of commercial door out there. After several years in the commercial door repair business I decided to do something ive always dreamed of... Knowing exactly how I wanted things, I aimed towards starting residential garage doors repair business using quality parts with high regard to the best customer service i could provide. My own small business was off to a good start.
On October of 2016, I received a license for Johns Garage Door Repair LLC in the state of Washington. I wanted everything to look professional while making sure customer service was at its best and that goes with providing really good products on repairs and replacement parts. A year later on October of 2017 I received my Oregon CCB License 213460. My Service area now includes the Portland and Vancouver surrounding area. Look me up on Yelp and see my 5 star reviews or go to Angie's list. I am happy to be part of the residential repair Industry and would like the opportunity on servicing your garage door.
