Don't Let Your Piano Shake, Rattle and Roll unless you are playing it! Call today for The Piano Tuning and Playing Specialist. Registered Piano Technician Serving the Triangle Since 1982. I play for weddings, fundraisers and special events. My brother manufactured pianos in the 1960s through the 1970s, which is how I became interested in piano tuning. I went and tuned at his company, Currier Pianos Factory, in my early teens. Currier Piano was Top 10 in the world sales for several years. I majored in piano at East Carolina University. I auditioned for a European tour at the NC School of the Arts and studied piano with Clifton Mathews during the summer of 1976. In 1982, I earned a certificate in piano tuning at Central Piedmont Community College. I learned tuning from Clayton Harmon, who was inducted into the Piano Technicians Hall of Fame. I currently tune for churches, in the home, and for Country Clubs. I've earned a reputation for giving accurate estimates that stay within family budgets. I have expanded my business to include all new action parts on grand pianos and I'm currently taking advanced classes in part replacements through the Piano Technicians Guild. I work on Studio, Console, Spinet, Upright and Grand pianos. I do on the spot repairs and tuning of pianos as well as reconditioning, regulating and cleaning. I replace parts when they are needed in complete sets for keytops, hammers, whippens and restringing. I replace and repair legs and have accounts with manufacturers to replace parts that are damaged. I am a Dampp-Chaser Certified Installer.
